Twas' Two Days Before Christmas...

Twas' two days before Christmas and finally I had a day home at the house (minus the trip to mail off the dance costume order)! The girls and I decided to partake in our annual cookie baking today. While they are decorating, I thought I should take a minute to catch up on the blog. Then it is off to clean up the kitchen and snuggle on the couch to watch A Christmas Story together. The pictures below are random shots of the house at Christmas, our little Scout Elf Glimmer, our trip to Alpine Village, and the girls making cookies, and our "Sister Day" celebration. Merry Christmas to all, and to all a goodnight!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a wonderful visit with my parents (and their dog, Taffy) this Thanksgiving . Lou and I enjoyed cooking our annual feast and the girls had fun spending time with their grandparents. We made a trip to downtown Memphis to ride the trolley and visited Snowy Nights at the Memphis Botanic Gardens for the first time. We are so thankful for our many blessings.

Our Little Saint

Snapdragon dressed up for the annual First Grade Saint Parade this year. She was Saint Agatha Lin Zao, a Chinese martyr, who was killed for teaching Christianity in an elementary school.

Happy Halloween

This year we had a stealthy ninja and Batgirl at our house. Buttercup made a quick run with a friend around the neighborhood because I think she just felt she couldn't let go of the trick-or-treating tradition. I'm sure this was her last trip. (Sad mama here!) I made the rounds with the ninja. We went to the neighborhood cove twice because she loved it this year! The cove decorates full out every year. It is amazing and even made the news our first year here in Tennessee. Buttercup and Snapdragon each wanted a theme jack-o-lantern this year. We had a beautiful Little Mermaid silhouette and a Teenage Mutant Ninja turtle. We made the annual trip to Holy Rosary's Halloween Carnival and had fun playing games and hanging out with friends. Boo to you and yours!
