Snow (Actually Ice) Day!

NO SCHOOL ON FRIDAY....due to a wintry mix of snow and ice! We have been stuck inside for two days because our street is a solid sheet of ice at least 2 inches thick. The sun is shining today so hopefully it will melt. Buttercup has been out "ice skating" across the front lawn and sledding by the lake. Snapdragon went out for about 10 minutes on Friday and declared it was too cold after a failed attempt to make a snowman. It has been nice to get things done around the house since we couldn't venture out. We are hoping the street thaws some today because we want to head to Wal-mart. Woo-hoo...big outing!

Silly Girl and Tired Mommy

Snapdragon has been loving the dress ups lately. Tonight she was putting on a silly show for us. We are all adjusting to my new work schedule, but I am tired! Lot's of running around after school between dance and basketball. Crazy, crazy, crazy! The school and the kids are really wonderful! I just need to get used to the planning and grading again. I bought a new steam cleaner for hard floors today and I love it! I think the kitchen floor is the cleanest I have seen it since we moved into the house.

Happy Birthday, Buttercup!

Sweet girls!

The loudest version of Happy Birthday ever!

Decorating paper guitars.

The cake....actually three cakes in one!

Buttercup had a wonderful birthday party. It was a Guitar Hero theme. My little girl is twelve...next year she hits the teens! She has met some wonderful friends at her new school. They are all such sweet girls. It was a big party, but they were all wonderful! I think they all had fun.
