Happy Easter!

We enjoyed our annual tradition of attending the Easter Vigil last night.  This was our first at Holy Rosary. It was a beautiful Mass with a lot of people receiving the sacraments.  The girls looked beautiful in their dresses, both recycled from last year.  It was amazing they both still fit.  I guess they have both reached a growing plateau!

Snapdragon woke early, drooling at the eggs in the backyard.  She had to wait an hour and a half before her teenage sister was ready to join in the egg hunt.  The girls enjoyed their Easter goodies and a quiet day at home doing yard work, other chores, and relaxing.  I can smell the yummy ham and sweet potatoes cooking! Looking forward to some more relaxing time after dinner and then it is work, work, work tomorrow. I have my first Holy Rosary Dance Academy Recital to finish preparing for and my two summer dance camps! 

Dress!

Buttercup and I found this beautiful dress at a charity dress sale at St.Agnes Academy (her high school) this weekend.  We only paid ten dollars!  It is a beautiful eyelet dress with satin trim.  She is very excited about her upcoming Confirmation and 8th grade graduation.

Happy 5th Birthday, Snapdragon!

Snapdragon had a week of celebration!  On Sunday, Feb. 5 with celebrated her birthday as a family and opened all of her family gifts.  We made cupcakes and a special cake.  On Tuesday, Feb. 7 (her real birthday) she took her special cupcakes to school and shared them with her friends.  Last night, we had a double party with her friend Gracen and invited all of their classmates.  The party was at The Little Gym and everyone had a great time tumbling, running, climbing, jumping and playing!

I can't believe my baby is already five. Many fun years to ahead!  Kindergarten here we come!

Teenage Room Makeover

After over a year of begging and complaining, we finally painted Buttercup's room.  We tried to get by with a little clean out and rearranging last spring, but we finally gave in and painted her room. She wanted to get rid of the little girl pink and polka dots.  I have to admit, it does look very nice.  She picked the color.  It is called "Quiet Rain".  Buttercup also finally got to hang up the posters she got for Christmas.

Happy 14th Birthday!

My little girl turned 14 today!  It is an exciting year for Buttercup.  High school here we come!  We had a quiet celebration at home with her new favorite, red velvet cake.  She celebrated her birthday twice in Cincinnati with the family!  Happy birthday, Buttercup!

Christmas Blessings

We were blessed with another wonderful Christmas.  We enjoyed time relaxing at home together, went to Christmas Eve Mass at Holy Rosary, and then commenced with the annual Christmas Eve traditions.  We also enjoyed our trip to Cincinnati to spend time with the family.  We couldn't ask for a better Christmas!

Christmas Cookie Time!

I love this day!  It was time to make annual Christmas cookies for Santa.  Nothing is better than spending a day with the girls.  We declared this day a pajama day.  We watched movies, baked our cookies, and then Snapdragon helped me clean out my closet and her closet.  We also cleaned up the playroom to get ready for all of those toys Santa is bringing!
