Happy 13th Birthday, Buttercup!

Buttercup and her friends celebrated her 13th birthday in style with a limo tour of Memphis. We went to the Pyramid, the FedEx Forum, The Peabody Hotel, Graceland and cruised all over Memphis and Bartlett. Our driver, Ms. D was awesome and the girls were just plain awesome! What a great bunch! After the limo ride, we came home for cake and presents. Some of the girls continued the party all night at the sleepover. I won't mention any names!!!! Thanks everyone, for helping Buttercup become a teenager in style! We are very proud of our new teenager and wish her all the best and many blessings as she enters some of the best years of her life! May God fill your teenage years with blessings and the wisdom to make good choices. Love you, Buttercup!

Twas' The Night Before Christmas

We started off the Christmas break with the flu and a full week of rest. Then, when we were all better, we had a wonderful Christmas with family, a great visit in Cincinnati, and a quiet New Year at home. We all started the new year happy and healthy! We can't ask for more than that! Lou and I spent this first day of 2011 cleaning and organizing while the girls enjoyed playing with all of their Christmas presents.

I know it's been a long time since I posted on the blog. We have been super busy with school, work, and the usual after school commitments.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with the blessings of family. Grammy, PaPa, and Aunt Debbie joined us. The men decorated the outside of the house and the girls went to The Peabody, got pedicures, and shopped and shopped some more.

We spent the day yesterday cleaning and decking the halls for Christmas. We love our new tree! It's a 12 footer! Buttercup and I were exhausted from all of the hard work, so we relaxed and watched one of our favorite Christmas movies, A Christmas Story, by the fire last night.

Today I am just finishing up some loose ends before it's back to school and work tomorrow. Lou went to the mall to get some Christmas shopping done without all of the girls.

Fire Poster Winner

Buttercup was chosen as the 7th grade fire poster contest winner in the City of Bartlett. We went to the City Council meeting last night. She received a $100 savings bond and her poster is being sent to Nashville for the state contest.

Zoo Boo!

After a great victory today, we went to the Zoo Boo for some family fun tonight. This year we took a pirate and Minnie Mouse. It was a fun night and now the girls are geared up for some real trick or treating next week!
