First Day of School!

Introducing our 7th grader and preschooler!!! Both girls had wonderful first days and are looking forward to a great year! I am teaching full time again and have some very sweet 5th graders this year. Buttercup is still at Saint Anns with all of her friends and Snapdragon and I are at Holy Rosary. By the way, can you see all of the humidity in the air!!! I took those pictures at 6:45 in the morning.

Keeping Cool

It has been so hot here this month. Over 100 degrees and very humid! Uggh! The girls stayed cool at the zoo by running through the fountain at Teton Trek and running through the sprinkler at home. You can see in the pictures how much Lola has grown!

Introducing....Lola

We are excited to introduce the newest member of our family, Lola!!! Lola is a Minature Schnauzer. We had promised Buttercup we would let her get a puppy after we settled in from the move and today we kept that promise. We had been looking in the paper for the past few weeks and today we saw the perfect ad. Buttercup is very excited. Of course, Lou and I are having a few moments of "What were we thinking?...or not thinking..." But she is very adorable and seems to be very sweet so far. She is a little shy, but she likes to eat! She already ate a bowl of puppy chow!

Buttercup participated in her cheer camp last week and loves it!!! We were very proud of her performance on Saturday and are looking forward to a year of watching her cheer. The girls all looked adorable in their cheer uniforms. GO COLTS!

More Summer Fun!

We just had another wonderful visit from my parents. We had a great time and the week went so fast....4th of July at Navy Lake, Memphis Redbirds baseball game, zoo, celebrating Dad's birthday, shopping, picking peaches, seeing Eclipse (AWESOME!),touring the Pink Palace Museum, eating at HardRock Cafe, visiting The Peabody, more shopping!!! Wow!
Thanks Mom and Dad! .... Not to mention fitting Buttercup's cheer camp, Snapdragon's dance lessons and my tap teaching into the mix!

Now it's back to reality. I will move into my new classroom tomorrow. I am very excited and need to start focusing on what I will be teaching!

Just About Finished!!!!

The girls love the new play set!!! PaPa and Daddy did a great job! Now we are just waiting for the tire swing to arrive. Thanks, PaPa!!!

Dance...Dance...Dance....

My two beautiful dancers put on a wonderful show last weekend. Buttercup has grown so much as a dancer over the years, but she has decided to take a break from dance next year and work on her cheerleading. Buttercup is an amazing tap dancer and I hope I can convince her to take lessons if I am able to teach her class this year. Snapdragon loved being on stage and is still singing songs from the show. Her favorite song is "My Boyfriend's Back." She danced very well...which surprised us a bit because she cried at many a dance lesson. I couldn't be prouder!
