Opening Day and Easter Fun in Cincinnati

Buttercup and Grandma are all decked out in their Red's gear today. Buttercup's school is celebrating Opening Day and Grandma and Uncle Jerry were lucky enough to score tickets to today's game. It is kind of a yucky day as far as weather goes. It is raining with some snow mixed in.

We went to and egg hunt this weekend at Delhi Park and met the Easter bunny! Cousin Travis and Snapdragon make cute little bunnies, too!

We are looking forward to heading down to Tennessee for Easter! Buttercup can't wait to see her house for the first time. In the meantime, Buttercup is getting four teeth pulled tomorrow. Our orthodontist in CA and the orthodontist we are visiting here in Cincinnati have both recommended this treatment. We decided to have it done here in Cincinnati because I am more familiar with the area.

We are all moved in to our new home. Well, Lou is all moved in the new home. Snapdragon and I came down to the house for the first time this week to help Lou unpack and clean. There are still boxes everywhere, but I did the best I could in a week. I was also able to go to storytime at the local library with Snapdragon, register our family at our new church and set up a tour and testing for Buttercup at her new school. I will be bringing the girls back down to Tennessee next week while Buttercup is on spring break. The girls and I are still going to live in Cincinnati with my parents until Buttercup finishes the school year in June. Until then, it will be back and forth to Tennessee. We don't want to have Buttercup start another new school and we are enjoying all the extra time we are getting to spend with the family.

We miss all of our friends and family in Ridgecrest! We love you and think of you often!

Back in Cincinnati

Our move from Ridgecrest is complete. My van arrived in Cincinnati today and all of our household goods are now in storage in Tennessee. Lou and I have selected a home in Tennessee and we should close very soon. In the mean time, the girls and I will be living with my parents in Cincinnati. It is great to be with family again. Hopefully, we will settle into our new routine quickly. It is cold here!

Buttercup starts her new school tomorrow. She is very excited. I taught at this school for 7 years before we moved to California. I still know many of the teachers. We went to eat lunch there today and Buttercup met many of her new classmates. Her cousin is also in her grade.

Snapdragon and I went to the library storytime this morning. She loved it! They read, sang and made a craft. I am going to enroll her in a mommy and me gymnastic class. I may even check out one of the local dance studios.

We went to the aquarium over the weekend with Uncle Jerry and the cousins.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Snapdragon had her first school Valentine's party yesterday. She is loving all of the sweet treats she had this week!

Birthday Parties!

Snapdragon had a small class party yesterday. In her class, they share a poster that tells about themsleves and they travel around the sun (a candle) with a globe to show the passing of a year.

Today, we had a party at the local indoor bounce house. The kids had a great time and were worn out! Snapdragon just beamed when they all sang "Happy Birthday."

Buttercup won first place in the science fair at her school this year. We are very proud of her!

Happy Birthday, Snapdragon!

Snapdragon is two today! Happy Birthday! As you can see, trying to get a picture of the silly girl with her birthday sign was a little difficult! Buttercup treated Snapdragon to a birthday pedicure. Of course, she chose her favorite color...YELLOW!
